The Portal”
Description:
61*76.5cm
“The Portal”
In this gray metropolis of steel and concrete, the subway doors are about to close. The metallic hum of the tracks vibrates through the air. A girl in a red coat stands before the doors, her hand resting lightly on the handle, eyes fixed on the window. But through the glass, she does not see the opposite side of the train—she sees a flourishing garden.
Camellias in full bloom, lilies stretching wide, twisting vines interwoven in a mesmerizing tapestry. The dull subway car is suddenly transformed into a gateway to another world.
Is this an illusion, or has she stumbled upon a true portal? The city’s monotony is momentarily shattered, reality and imagination intertwined. The subway is no longer just a means of transit—it is a boundary. On one side, the routine of daily life; on the other, a hidden world of poetry and dreams.
Will she step through? Or will the doors close, sealing off this fleeting glimpse of wonder, returning her to the cold, familiar rhythm of reality?
